A little bit of this and a little of that!

Oh how we love Easter! We decided to find an Easter egg hung for the boys and ended up at Barnes and Noble. It was a cold day so it was kind of nice to be inside. First off the lady started out by reading an Easter book and then when she was done she said "Go" so the kids all went in search of Easter eggs. Brody loved it!

Each holiday continues to get more and more fun now that Brody is getting older and starting to understand more things about the holidays. That night we decorated eggs. Adam's parents stopped by to grab something and came at the perfect time. So they were able to get in on the action of dying easter eggs. Brody had so much fun dropping the eggs in the colored water. Cooper loved getting the eggs and smacking them together which of course resulted in cracked eggs, but how cute is that!

Easter Sunday we woke up to eggs all over the family room. That little Easter bunny was sneaky and Brody ended up finding all the hidden eggs and his and Cooper's easter baskets, smart boy! For breakfast we pretty much had candy, YuMmY! Brody was having the time of his life eating the candy because...well that NeVeR happens especially before breakfast. So when it came to breakfast time, do you think he ate his waffle? Of course not, but oh well it's Easter and that's just what happens :)

That afternoon we headed up to my parents for an Easter lunch with lots of family! My aunt and her family were in town for my cousins ordination so it was fun to see her whole family and some extended family as well!:)

Moab Fun
This weekend we went to Moab with our little family for four whole days. We had a blast. It was such a nice trip with just the four of us we didn't have anywhere that we needed to be at any time except for one day which was Saturday. Other than that we just went with the flow.
Brody loves ramps so here he is making his own ramp for his bike.

Brody taught Cooper how to ride his scooter, ha ha j/k he's not that big yet!

The first day we woke up and decided to go watch some Jeeps at a trail called "Moab Rim" which is rated a 4+ which means that it's the most difficult trail. Brody was all for going to watch Jeeps and Adam of course was in his element and Cooper was content as could be in the backpack watching the Jeeps and Hummers go up this difficult rocky trail.

A Hummer had a break of which they were fixing and Brody insisted on putting a rock behind the tire so the Hummer wouldn't get stuck. The only reason why he did this is because that's what he saw a guy do with a Jeep climbing a hill. So cute, he is so his dad's son. Looks like we will need a few Jeeps at our house when he gets older.

The second day we went to the Arches and did a three mile hike at Delicate Arch and Brody hiked the whole way up, we were so proud of him! Adam carried Cooper in the backpack and Brody held each of our hand and we hiked all the way up. What a beautiful sight in the end! We were so proud of Brody, that was the longest hike he has ever done. He got a little tired on the way down so Adam carried Brody on his shoulders and I carried Cooper in the backpack. Brody started to fall asleep on Adam, so cute! We just wore him right out.

On the third day we went to a huge sand hill. It was quite the hike going up but coming down was so fun. Brody wanted to go to the top but couldn't quite dig his little feet in and climb up so Adam carried him all the way up, what a dad! If you look at the picture below and see that little white dot that is Adam and Brody at the top of the hill.

The whole trip started off when Adam heard of some people going down to do a Jeep trail at Elephant Hill on Saturday. So we tagged along. We rented a Jeep for the day, kind of sad we didn't have our own Jeep for the first time, which just makes us really think twice about getting another one hopefully soon. Maybe it could be my daily driver! When I told Adam that, you should've seen the look on his face! So we spent the majority of the day out at the Canyonland at the Elephant Hill trail. We weren't even on the trail yet and Brody starting throwing up so we debated about going but he acted fine so we continued and he did again. Thank heavens for Dramamine, that stuff did the trick. We cut the trail short and decided to go back because we didn't want to make him suffer anymore just in case if it happened again. Poor kid, we had no idea he was car sick so now that we know that we will be prepared for next time. Although our time was cut short we still had a great time.

Adam was in heaven, Jeeping is his favorite thing to do so he had a perma grin the whole time, so cute! We have made it to the Jeep Safari twice since we have been married and this time, although it wasn't Jeep Safari, was our third. We hope to make it an annual tradition now that our kids our getting bigger. We are so grateful we were able to go to Moab and spend time with our family and have so much fun!

Cooper's 1st Birthday

While we were in Moab we celebrated Cooper's 1st Birthday. What a joy it is to have him in our family! He is the happiest baby and is so content with whatever we are doing. He loves people and is always smiling it doesn't matter if he knows you or not, anyone can get a smile out of him just by looking at him. He is so happy in the mornings, he wakes up and plays in his crib for a bit and laughs at himself. I love it, how can you not love to wake up to that!

Here's a few of our favorite things about him:

He loves to play in the fridge and b-lines it as soon as he sees the fridge door open.
He loves bathtime especially when he is taking a bath with his brother.
He loves to explore.
He loves to play tag.
He loves to pretend that he's driving a real vehicle and the second you take him out he screams bloody murder.
He loves to dance!
He loves to play pat-a-cake and can do some of the actions.
He loves to give cuddles.
He can say a few words: mom, momma, dad, dadda, Bob=Brody, Ta da, Nana=banana
He loves to play in boxes, anything Brody is doing he wants to do as well.

He loves to climb the stairs

He doesn't like to crawl on the cold floor.

Cooper loves to eat, especially our food!

Cooper is definately a momma's boy which I absolutely love!

He loves just being!

Happy Birthday my sweet baby! We love you so much!
