A few of our firsts

Cooper's 1st haircut
I guess it wasn't so bad if we were able to get a smile out of it. Adam did a great job and even got a straight line on his neck.

Adam's 1st trip to Florida
For Adam's work this year, they had meetings in Florida. Adam and some of his co-workers arrived a day earlier than when the meetings started so he and nine other guys all piled in a Hyundai Sante Fe (I wish I had a picture of all of them) and drove over to where they went on an air boat ride to scope out alligators. They had a great time and were even able to hold a baby alligator. Then it was meetings, meetings and more meetings but Adam was grateful he was able to see a little bit of Florida.

Bri's 1st time being home alone with two sick kids
While Adam was gone in Florida I was home with both our boys. It's one thing being home with two kids for five days but it's a whole different world when both of them are sick and so are you. All I have to say is how grateful I am for the support of my family. My mom came out on Wednesday and we had dinner. It's nice to have a change when you really can't go anywhere with two sick kids. My mother-in-law checked on us a couple of times which was so nice to think of us and my father-in-law also called, how sweet! We sure do have supportive family and I am forever grateful! We were supposed to go to Logan to visit my sister but we decided to wait until Friday until we were that much better so we did. It was nice to have a change of scenery. I love my sister and am so grateful she lets us come crash at her house even when my little boy can be quite disastrous at times!

Brody's 1st ear infection
Brody woke up screaming in the middle of the night. He kept saying, "Ear, my ear hurts", and I thought the only thing it could be is an ear infection. So I held him and he screamed then I held him some more and he would only sleep for a few minutes at a time. I tried giving him a warm rice pack and a heating pad of which he wanted nothing to do with either of them. Finally at 5:30 a.m. we were both zonked out on the couch for about an hour and a half. Then at 8:00 when the doctor's office opened I called and made the soonest appointment. We went in and found out that he did have an ear infection, the Doc also said he had bronchitis and some wheezing so he gave him albuterol of which was through a breathing system. All I have to say is thank heavens for Amoxicillin, this stuff did wonders. Brody is all better now of course now that Adam is home :)

Brody and Coopers 1st time sledding
I didn't get a picture of Brody in sledding motion although he did sled, he just would rather hang out on the 4-wheeler more with his new helmet and his grandpa.

Even Cooper went down the hill for the 1st time, that's my boy!

Cooper's 1st time eating cheetos
This kid loves cheetos, who knew but then again he eats everything. I hope it stays this way because having two picky eaters...No thanks.

Brody's first time working out with his momma's shoes
When I put on my workout clothes, Brody always says "Mommy do her exersizers", it's so cute! So here he is trying it himself, boy is he getting good on the elliptical.

What a fun post of firsts! I bet it took you forever to write this.

How neat for Adam to get to go out in the swamp and to hold an alligator. Maybe you guys will get to go back some day and do it again together.

So cute! I have become very good friends with amoxicillin. Ear infections and strep runs wild in our family. So I feel your pain! You did a great job being on your own I think mother are made strong for certain reasons and this being one.
