Family Prayer

Brody usually repeats everything we say in our prayers but lately he is starting to add his own wording. For our dinner prayer, Brody was repeating after Adam but as Adam proceeded with the prayer, Brody decided to be done and said, "In the name...etc.".

Here is how part of our family prayer went tonight:
Me: Thank you for our family.
Brody: And food.
Me: Thank you for our house.
Brody: Thank you for food.
Me: Thank you for our leaders.
Brody: Thank you for Kenna. (Kenna is his cute little friend at church and he gets so excited to play with her in nursery every week.)

As we were saying good night we had a family hug and Brody said to me, "I love you". He says this all the time when prompted but tonight it was completely on his own. How can you not love this kid!

Don't my boys look so cute all bundled up? I want to make sure that they stay nice and warm!

Brody loves to help with everything right now. He decided he wanted to feed Cooper so I thought hey why not. He did such a good job feeding Cooper and I was able to finish making breakfast. Brody can be the best helper at times!

For family night last night we put up our "brand new" Christmas tree. For those of you who don't know we have always bought a real Christmas tree but this year we decided we needed to go for the fake tree, not because we wanted to but because we needed to for safety reasons. We are kind of sad to say good-bye to the yummy smell of real trees but we could always do candles or wreaths inside our house. We will figure it out. So anyways here is our new Christmas tree all decorated.

When decorating our tree Brody found a hammer, wrench, and screwdriver ornaments. The hammer didn't work like a real hammer so therefore that one broke and the screwdriver is still intact and working great for his little projects. I guess we need to get some more tool ornaments.
