I have been thinking about going Private for a little while now so I guess I better follow my instinct. If you want to continue to see my blog leave your e-mail and I will invite you.

Forget about the Past
I know I'm a huge slacker. As some of you know, we finally sold our house and moved out the day after Christmas...yes the day after Christmas. In fact I even put up most of my Christmas decor and tree. Adam loves me so much that he put up our Christmas lights outside too (well that was the weekend before our house sold or else he wouldn't have). But come on, how can you have Christmas without all the decorations and I did it for my boys. Now Brody understands Christmas and Cooper is just starting, we just couldn't forget Christmas our last year in our house. I was moving our house the whole month of December amongst shopping for Christmas, wrapping, all the parties etc. So no wonder we didn't have a lot of time for anything. In fact today was the first day I took the boys sledding. I felt like a slacker mom for not taking them, although Adam did take them once before. I bought sleds like 3 months ago. I debated about going because we had maybe 1-inch of snow but thanks to Grandpa he said oh ya there's enough and sure enough there was. We had a blast. Brody went all by himself and I took Coop of which he also loved. He used to not like snow but I guess he's getting used to it. We even built a snowman! What a fun morning with my boys! You know what's funny...the snow melt a couple hours later, so we were lucky we went when we did. Who knows if we will get another big storm.
We haven't been up to a whole lot the past couple of months. I drive about 20 minutes to take Brody to school back in our old neighborhood twice a week. That's about a 3 hour detour of which it is so worth it. Ms. Lici is a great teacher and Brody loves Preshool and is learning so much! One day he blurted out the Pledge of Allegiance, who knew! I decided to keep him in the same Preschool for the consistency for Brody. With a new house, new ward, new neighborhood, new room, new church class etc. I thought a little consistency would be good! Brody has adjusted so well to everything, I'm so proud of him! We have moved in with Adam's parents while we continue to search each and everyday for a house. We haven't decided if we want to build or go with existing. I think we're leaning more towards existing the more and more we think about it. We have a few offers out there but it's the waiting game so I guess patience should be a thing to learn!
We are so grateful for Adam's parents for letting us live with them. I thought it would be harder for me than Adam but it's been just the opposite. They are so patient with us and especially the boys. Right now we have a nice setup in the basement and a family room to hang out in but Brody and Cooper always want to be upstairs with Grandma and Grandpa. I feel so bad but they always tell me not to worry about it. We are so grateful for them and their generosity! They are truly good people!
I have been horrible with taking pictures lately. I miss my little camera that used to be in my purse, I used to take tons of pictures because it was always there instead of carrying my huge Canon SLR digital camera. Guess I should buy another one. I definately miss a lot of moments. Brody has had a peeing problem lately so I took him to the doctor not once but twice. The doctor just said he has frequent urination and doesn't know how long it will last. He said it could last a few weeks to a few years no one knows. So he does a lot of this.
You know that's the nice thing with having boys, they can pee whenever and wherever (well most of the time). It's been difficult for everyone especially Brody. He will go pee every 30 seconds sometimes. I feel bad because sometime I think it may be a distraction in Preschool and his Primary class but poor kid he can't help it. There will be times that he just went pee and we will be driving on the freeway and have to pull over on the freeway because he has to go that bad. It's frustrating at time because we will be at the store for maybe 10 minutes and we are in the restroom 3-4 times. Brody's preschool teacher suggested seeing a urinologist so I think we possibly might go see one soon. I can't wait for it to get better and Brody especially can't wait.
For Valentine's this year Brody went to Preschool and brought his amazing Valentine's toolbox of which he was so proud of!
Then we went to lunch to celebrate Grandma's birthday, yes it is on Valentine's Day. We invited Connie, Jack, and Haley to come with us as well. We then headed over to get some frozen yogurt. We had a great time as always! That night we stayed in and we had a heart pizza, heart jello jigglers, and Raspberry Lemonade. I love celebrating Valentine's with those I love, huh go figure!
Since we have lived with Adam's parents, we have had a lot of bonding time as a family and I feel that we have gotten even closer. Tonight I told Brody that we're going to have a date night with Daddy. So we took him to Rock Creek Pizza and then we were going to go to the Dollar Theatre but we were a little late for the movie so we got a Red Box instead. Can I just say I love getting a good deal. I have a happenings book and I used a coupon out of it for our dinner so we got a buy one get one free pizza buffet. We only spent $8 for our family of four. What a deal! That's just one of many. If we would've done the Dollar Theatre our date night for the four of us would've been $12. Love it! I love my family. Adam and I haven't had a date night for awhile. We don't want to ask Adam's parents because well we live with them and they see the boys all the time. And we can't really ask for a sitter to come over cause well that would be awkward. So instead we do family date nights and we love it! We also went to the Monster Truck show. The boys loved it. Although it was during Cooper's naptime so I took him outside and rocked him for about 20 seconds and he was out. He fell asleep with all that noise and even stayed asleep when I took him back in. After the show Adam took Brody down to see the monster trucks and show him how big they really were. He was in awe! I'm so grateful for my family and how close we are!
Last week I went to St. George with my sisters and my mom. It was strictly a GIRLS ONLY trip. I of course only took very few pictures because I have an amazing memory of taking pictures. We sat in the hot tub, ate out, went shopping, got pedicures, talked, went to the movies, played games, slept in, went running. I think a lot about doing a half marathon and say oh someday I will do that. When I was in St. George I ran 5.2 miles. I have never ran that much in my life except for maybe when I was training for soccer. I was so proud of myself and since that day I thought this year I'm going to train for a marathon. So I think that someday will be this summer. Wish me luck! Anyways I think it's important for Moms to get away to rejuvenate themselves. It makes me even more grateful for my family and for Adam. I'm grateful to have a husband who can stay home with our kids and not complain about it. And most of all I don't have to worry about him or if the boys will be fed or put to bed on time. I'm so grateful for my Mom and sisters and the close bond that we have. I'm grateful that none of us are super dramatic and we all live simple lives! I love them and wish we could go on these girl trips all the time but til next time!
Getting pedicures!
Out to eat with the girls
Cousin Mandee, Bri and Dem We sure love Mandee she is another sister to us. We were always close growing up and I'm so grateful that we are still close! Too bad her sister Mallory couldn't have been there. We missed her.
Here's a couple of pictures of my boys
Cooper having fun with the stickers.Cooper has been the cutest kid but also the most curious kid who is always getting into trouble. He loves the toilet, boy I am missing my toilet lock, I really need to buy another one. He thinks he should do his hair with toilet water. Then he floats his bath boats in the toilet water. He dances on the table and climbs on everything. He climbs on the high counters just to get into Grandma's candy jar. Cooper says a few words but still isn't talking a whole lot yet. Today when Adam got home, he ran to him with a big grin saying "Daddy" then he said "Love you daddy, and mommy" Adam and I both heard it. For those of you who have seen Cooper, you know this is a huge step. But why should he talk, he has Brody to talk for him. Whenever I ask him to say a word Brody says it or whenever I say "What does a cow say?" Brody answers LOL. So with him not talking he sure is a smart kid and is very independent. He has to do everything on his own, he doesn't want any help. But you know what the best part about him is? He will still let me rock him to sleep every now and then. For being almost 2, I think that is the best part of all!
Brody helping his Dad outside. We are so ready for Spring to be here. We definately have Spring fever. Go away SNOW!
Hopefully I can be better at blogging in the future, but don't hold me to it!
