My cute boys...Brody insists on covering Cooper with a pillow or blanket. Also when Brody goes to take his naps he always gives Cooper a kiss and says "nigh, nigh". He is such a good big brother!

One Size Fits All?
Adam has a nice new addition to mowing the lawn. Last year Adam put Brody in the backpack to mow the lawn which Brody absolutely loved. Apparently Brody remembers that and insists on riding in the "bapack". Adam thought he would try it with both kids, can we say workout?

Look what we get to fix!
In December our water main broke and Adam spent the day before Christmas Eve digging and replacing parts in the freezing cold. Thanks to running water and cutting pipes we got a rock stuck in our sprinkler valve. So this year when we turned on our sprinklers the valve was stuck open and this is what it created...our water ran for about 13 hours during the night, let's say big water bill?

Dinner time!
Dad: Brody who would you like to help you pray tonight, Mommy or Daddy?
Brody: Jack
Dad: Jack isn't here.
Brody: Boat
Dad: Yes, Jack is on the boat.
This is our dinner ritual every night for the past few weeks. But we have progressed to Brody praying every night for dinner. He repeats everything we say to him.

Happy 30th Birthday Adam!
Adam turned 30 last Saturday and to celebrate I threw him a surprise Birthday party. It was a little hard planning the party due to it being a secret but also because we weren't going out much with Cooper being so young but somehow it all came together without Adam finding out. There are a few people I have to thank such as my mom and sister picking up desserts, watching the boys, cutting fruit, and bringing desserts. I also have to thank my mother-in-law for coming out to watch Cooper so Brody and I could go on a "date", that's what we called it so Adam wouldn't find out so we did lots of errands to get things ready. Adam was going to take Brody to the motorcycle race on Saturday morning but because Brody wasn't feeling good they decided to stay home which would've ruined the plans but I had backup plans and Adam's dad was prepared. So instead Adam went shooting for a few hours with his dad and mom so I could get things ready.
When Adam came home my mom and Demarie were there to "watch the boys" while we went to dinner. My mom and sister and whoever else came early went and decorated the pavilion, and set up all the desserts. I told Adam that we needed to hurry home because my mom needed to do some "work" that night. I also told him I wanted to drive home which I thought would've given away the surprise but apparently not. We drove right to the pavilion and he was shocked. There were so many people to celebrate with him. Thanks to all those who came, you made it possible! Here's just a few pictures of the party. Thanks Ashton for taking all the pictures. Happy Birthday babe! I love you because you are:
Patient
Goal oriented
Motivated- you get the job done
You hold the Priesthood- I love that you can give our boys blessings in a time of need
Smart- you know a little bit about everything
Happy
A Good example to me and to our boys
Willing to serve others
Adventurous
So worried about spending time equally with the boys, that's so cute!
An outdoors person
A hard worker
Fun to be around
A great teacher to Brody, and you are so patient when you do teach.
Such an amazing father, you amaze me more and more everyday.

Our new Kirby vacuum
We bought a new vacuum, and I couldn't be more excited! It works like a charm, the best I've seen yet. A guy came and did a demo and showed us how this vacuum works. Some of these pictures might be a little disturbing knowing what is in your house but I am showing these because Adam and I were absolutely amazed at how well this vacuum does. First of all let me remind you that right before they came to do the demo, I vacuumed and it goes to show that my vacuum wasn't really doing the job. These are disks that he put in the vacuum and removed after doing only a square foot of flooring. He explained that there are a lot of vacuums out there that eat away at your carpet and that is what we are seeing most of when we empty the container. We shouldn't be seeing all those carpet fibers because then we will just have to replace our carpet sooner. What the Kirby vacuum does is it removes all the dirt underneath and not the carpet itself. What really sold us on this vacuum was when he put baking soda on the carpet and rubbed it in so you couldn't see it anymore then took my old vacuum over it and you couldn't see the vacuum pick up any baking soda but once he vacuumed it with the Kirby it picked the baking soda right up, we couldn't believe it. The second thing it sold us on is it has an attachment to shampoo our carpets with very little chemicals. We have had this one spot on our carpet and after having two different carpet cleaners come and clean, neither of them could get the spot out. Once the Kirby went to work, it came right out and now our carpet looks brand new again. I didn't think he could sell Adam on this vacuum but he sure did...Adam out of all people buy a vacuum from a door to door salesman, that goes to show how incredibly amazing this vacuum is. I can't wait to shampoo the rest of the carpet in my house, who honestly would ever say such a thing.

Our new obsession...
Smoothies!!!
Our friends Rosie and Isaiah introduced us to their kind of smoothies and boy we are now addicted. We just can't get enough of these. You mix yogurt, sherbet ice cream, orange juice and frozen fruit and blend it all together and wah-la, the best smoothie ever.
My other addiction...strawberries. I can't seem to get enough of these either. I bought some strawberries at Wal-Mart today and they were ok but then as we were passing by Macey's we stopped to buy their 1/2 flat strawberries for $4.99 (what a deal) and oh my these are the best tasting strawberries ever, Wal-Mart doesn't even compare now. Amongst all the delicious and huge strawberries I found some pretty odd shaped strawberries but this one was the best shape ever, check it out.I bet you can't guess where Brody is hiding
