Another crazy month and so little posts. Here's what we have been doing lately.

Flaming Gorge

Last weekend we decided to take one final camping trip besides our little day camp trips. We went to Flaming Gorge and played on the lake, had mud fights, went river rafting down the Green River and enjoyed the wind and rain. Really, I love when it rains when we camp, it seems to complete camping. Adam and I took the kids down to the water to throw rocks, they absolutely loved it except when the wind kicked in and they finally decided they were too cold. Here's a few pictures of our fun trip in no particular order.

Since I got back from my girls trip Brody doesn't want anything to do with me. So this is what we end up with....Daddy's little helper! When I ask Brody if he missed me he says "Nuh uh".

Girls weekend with no kids!

This last weekend was a blast. I got together with some old Cedar City college friends, Nikki and Kelcie, in Monroe. We decided to leave the kids home with the dads and get away for the weekend and pamper ourselves. We went up to Kelcie's cabin and spent Friday night there. We went to sleep at four in the morning, we must have had a lot of catching up to do. We then woke up at 11:00 and ate breakfast at 12:00 p.m.. What kind of mom does that...yep that's us and we enjoyed every bit of it. We played games, talked, read old poems, talked, watched chick flicks, talked, did hair, talked, ate, picked up a girl hitchhiker (yes we were safe), talked and did some more talking. You'd think that we would have a good night's rest but nope we thought talking was more important. We are going to try and make this an annual tradition but next year we will bring our families. We will all cram in and be a big happy family in this cabin. Kelcie's family is in the process of remodeling the cabin, here are just a few pictures of the cabin and our fun filled weekend. The best part of the cabin is that the plumbing wasn't working properly so we had to fill the toilet with a pan of water and dump it into the toilet so it would flush. I would say that we were kind of roughin' it a bit. It makes it even more of a fun trip. Til next year!
