4-wheeling in Moab for Easter weekend

Last weekend Adam and I dropped Brody off at my parents to be watched for two days. It was our first time leaving him and yes I was a little nervous to leave him. Although he did great at least that's what my mom said despite the fact that he woke her up at 6 a.m. and didn't want to take naps. Oh well...so then we were on our way down to Moab. Just the two of us. We had a blast! It was nice being just us. We camped and went on some trails. We met four people who we hung out with all day on Saturday, rode some trails, played on some hills, ate dinner. They were a lot of fun! The first night that we camped we had quite the night. With all the loud thumping from the music, foul language, and a guy yelling "Stella" all night, let's just say we didn't sleep much so the next night we moved as far away as we possibly could from all the partiers and drunk people. Let's just say we investigated and found a good spot and slept great! We planned on going on a hike Sunday morning but after waking up on Sunday, we decided we missed our little man too much so we packed up the Jeep and were on our way to see Brody and spend Easter with him. Holidays are way more exciting now that we have Brody!

We had lots of fun celebrating Brody's birthday again! He is definately spoiled. I feel like his birthday just keeps going and going. That's always good for a kid, especially when they know it's their birthday! Thanks for the good times!

Rockin' out with Brody's new drumset!

Snowshoeing

We haven't been able to go snowshoeing for awhile so we finally were able to go. It was absolutely beautiful with the fresh fallen snow. Brody also loves going, he is completely content the whole time. He eventually fell on asleep as we were just finishing up.

Meeting Atticus!

My friend Cindy and her little boy, Atti were in town visiting. I was finally able to meet her new little addition. He is so cute! He has so much cute red hair. It's too bad that we live so far apart but it sure is fun catching up when we can! Thanks again for a fun visit! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Visiting our friends in Spring City

We went and visited our friends this weekend in Spring City, UT. It was a lot of fun! Adam and Fletcher went rabbit hunting and Kamey and I just played with the kids and played catch up. They used to live close by but moved for Fletcher's work so it's so nice to keep in touch and get together.

Brody getting another haircut. This time it was a lot shorter. It turned out so cute, thanks Kamey!
Brody sporting the stylish sunglasses, and he actually kept them on for a little bit.

Mason wearing Shrek ears.

Katelyn and Brody playing on the 4-wheeler. Katelyn would help Brody stay on, what a cute friend she is.

We had Brody's first Birthday party with Adam's family yesterday. We can't believe that he's already one in sixteen days. We had so much fun with our little boy opening presents, eating cake and playing with lots of exciting toys. Jackson also loved the toys, maybe more than Brody, Brody was particularly fond of the wrapping paper at first until we opened up the boxes to get the toys out. Brody absolutely loved the cake as you can see from the video clip below. When Adam took the cake away, he threw a little tantrum because he wanted more. Little does he know, there will be more to come in two weeks for the second family Birthday party. We are so grateful to everyone who came! We love you Brody and can't wait for many more years to come!
